Afriwise – now offering risk briefings

  • Through a first-of-its kind collaboration, Afriwise and Africa Risk Consulting  (ARC) are offering organisations active in or looking to expand to Africa access to all the legal and business-critical information they need to understand local markets through one online hub, available anytime, anywhere.

    The partnership is designed to make corporate governance, risk and compliance management in African countries more efficient.

    As part of this partnership, ARC Briefing monthly country reports are now available on the Afriwise platform. ARC Briefing covers political, economic, business and operating events in 22 of Africa’s main markets, including Kenya, Nigeria, Angola, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, the DRC and Zimbabwe, and provides in-depth analysis of their implications for investors and businesses monthly. The ARC Briefing is now fully integrated into the Afriwise platform, in a user-friendly, searchable format.

    The Afriwise platform contains up-to-date answers to over 1 500 critical legal questions about doing business in various African countries, covering key areas of law, such as Business Structures, Foreign Investment and Employment, with each answer provided by a leading local law firm. The platform also contains detailed profiles of vetted local counsel selected from reputable firms in each country, productivity tools to improve efficiency and turnaround times, and legislation.

    ARC is a pan-African consulting company that provides political and strategic advisory, integrity due diligence and investigations, and risk-management advice – keeping businesses informed and safeguarding their reputations. ARC Briefing keeps businesses at any stage in their Africa expansion:

    • up to date with chronologies of business-critical events;
    • in the know via briefings on political, economic, business and operating trends, written in-country and supplemented with analysis and commentary by ARC experts; and
    • ahead with country planners detailing future elections, budgets, and regulatory changes, among others.
    “The complementary nature of our service offerings and our mutual dedication to Africa’s economic growth make ARC a natural partner for Afriwise.
