We are are not rookies - made by lawyers
Almost our entire team consists of senior qualified lawyers, some of whom have been recognised as leading lawyers in their fields. We have practised at international, regional and local law firms and assisted some of the world’s largest companies on their projects and transactions in Africa. In 2004, our founder was the youngest lawyer ever to be listed by the prestigious English research firm Chambers & Partners as one of the leading corporate & commercial lawyers in Africa and he has been listed as such without interruption ever since. In addition, our editorial team is a unique mix of lawyers and legal journalists with law degrees. Our collaboration with over 100 law firms on the continent is further testimony of our team’s deep links on the continent.
We do not just sell subscriptions to an online platform; that would be against our nature. Our subscribers are central in everything we do. At the heart of the design of our solutions is a focus towards meeting our subscribers' current and future needs. Afriwise is built to grow with them: our platform and solutions are tailored for their needs, at every stage of their (corporate) lifecycle. This is why Afriwise subscribers are offered a free underlying service to request clarifications, suggest new questions and ask for introductions. We are proactive hands on and fast in our service rendering. We are always in close contact with our clients, so that we can keep our legal solutions relevant in solving their daily problems, cost-effectively and accurately.
To compile and maintain the premium content on the platform, we partner withover 100 of the leading law firms in Africa. We take the word “partner” very seriously. Not only do we regularly liaise with our contributing experts and learn from their insights, but we also share subscription revenues with them.
We carefully define the structure, wording and answer guidance for our content. Our contributors populate Q&As, stand by their correctness, keep them updated and respond to requests for clarifications. All content undergoes a comprehensive editing process, which focuses on quality control and consistency to make for user-friendly user experience for our subscribers. Our editors work closely with our contributors to ensure the relevance, consistency and accuracy of ourlegal content. For each country, we also proactively monitor updates that have an impact on our legal know-how and make sure that all legal content is up to date and reflects the current state of the law.
